In mid March, our Cabernet Sauvignon vines buds emerged from their long winter’s nap. I love the colors. Bright chartreuse green tinted with pink fringe along the edges of the tiny leaves. The harbinger of another amazing vintage.

Looked out the window this morning…. yes…. Art is EVERYWHERE!
In the mornings, we walk the dogs through the vineyards. We talk to the vines. We tell them they are beautiful, strong and healthy. We pray over them and ask them to yield up, once again their bountiful fruit next year.
The leaves are almost all gone now. A very heavy frost signal that we can start to prune soon.
But for now, they are sleepy and they are ready for their winter’s nap….. Sleep tight, beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon
